To sum a 220 posts in a single sentence - it's coming whether you like it or not so either adapt to it or find a new profession.

My parents gave me a brain to think with and taught me to question everything, to fight for what I think is right. They did not just hand me a huge can of vaseline and tell me big brother knows best, so better to just shut up and do whatever we are told.

I don't think most understand the gravity of this elog situation or it's economic implications. It may work fine for some, but not for others. For example: Drivers that have to do 3, 4 or even 5 loads a day, with multiple wait times on each load will reduce productivity as much as a factor of 25%. Meaning the work currently done now will require another truck for every 4 trucks on the current route and another driver to do the same work done now. Who is going to pay for this? The end user of course... Fuel will cost more to deliver, thus drive the price up for everyone, thus freight rates will go up, more truck will be needed... on already overcrowded roads(perhaps as much as 20% more). Driving the price of EVERYTHING up.

I thought there was already a "shortage" of drivers? :biggrin_25525:

There is, but it's offset by a surplus of steering wheel holders.

I average about 2500 a week. Some weeks less some weeks more but I'd bet it averages to 2500.
