I was shocked too.Thats a sad number.
I wish i would be able to live another 50 years to see the outcome on whats left of any privacy in America.
I was shocked to see how few people voted to keep the intrusion out of their lives on a trucking site no less.
There must be something wrong with me --everyone else seems to want to be spied on and controlled.
Someone please just tell me that they are lazy and e-logs seem easier - oh forget it ...going to hang myself.
-

It took us 8 years to get 135,000 members. I highly doubt you'll get the 100,000 signatures in 60 days.Balakov100 Thanks this. -
I hear what you're saying but why should the entire industry have to be forced to pay for what outlaws do.Punish them not everyone. If you don't like the way your company operates thn leave, find an elog company. But it should be our choice not the government.Let the ppl decide not the government.ELOGS is not the problem but being controlled like abunch of children is a major problem
SheepDog Thanks this. -

it's not just running out of hours close to home. it's also delivering and picking up. and that lunch break makes things worse.
you can either run out of hours and be 15 minutes away. and sitting overnight, or the weekend for that matter.
the clock can bite you in TONS of ways.
i really don't see how ANYONE can say they are making more money with those things.
from what i've experienced so far, it's been a revenue LOSS. on top of the added fee you have to spend.SheepDog, Jokingypsy and gokiddogo Thank this. -
Ok, I use to run outlaw, (shhh) and did it regularly before knight came out with e-logs, and I would have to say for the most part they are ok.....but....sitting and having to wait for the storm that I have been trying to stay ahead of, home, and like now sitting so I can wait for the traffic to build up in St. Louis kinda sucks......but.....
as for me it keeps my books straight, meaning it tracks my miles and which states and my hometime which all goes to my bookkeeper that is one less thing I have to worry about.
If I want to run outlaw and feel like it I should be able too. But elogs prevent that from happening and from dispatchers trying to push one to run outlaw, so now as in poor Abe's case, dispatch has found a new way to push drivers by saying suck it up do jumping jacks, walk around truck grab coffee and keep that load moving.
i am on elogs now, and even though I find it at times bothersome, for the most part it really doesn't bother me and keeps me from running from sun up (4-5am) til sun down (usually about 11pm-12am).
i don't vote so I can't really complain one way or the other but can say that with the elogs, and csa stuff that there are more drivers getting booted out of the trucking industry, which is a good thing for all as eventually there will be more loads than drivers, and our rates will go up.
so all those crying about elogs, it's really not that bad, I had run paper for 10 years,
don't like it then find another job, that will leave me and others with more loads to haulDinomite Thanks this. -
All truckers have credit in the 500s and can't qualify for a credit card, even capital one won't take them!
