I hope it's not racism sounds like it is not. I have known many Sikh individuals they were great people. They told of facing alot of discrimination due to people mistakenly thinkng they were Muslim.

How much you want to bet the first part about failing the first time gets omitted once cbc or similar gets a hold of this one... oh, with government check book at the ready, of course.

It is good to see an authority finally calling a spade a spade.

It seems certain driving schools in Ontario were targeted because of their lax standards.

Anyone else notice that they are now getting inspections more often at ontario scales .. in many cases you see the truck or trailer still there a few days later

Ha, ha, that is a bit rich for those guys to be claiming religious discrimination when the discrimination is actually based on state of origin (Punjab). Recent immigrants from Punjab are well-known to frequent fake Punjabi driving schools in Ontario:

Big-truck ‘licensing mills’ put public at risk | Toronto Star

Phony Punjabi truck driving schools in BC and Alberta produced a plague of dangerous drivers that still persist although many of the schools were shut down by Provincial authorities.

Good for the Manitoba Public Insurer! Lets get some of these terrible drivers off the road. Punjabi "truck drivers" are way over-represented at crash scenes. Recent immigrants from Punjab make up .001% of the Canadian population but somehow manage to cause 95% of the truck crashes in Canada.

The schools are not the only ones. Who does the road test, the DMV?

A lot of inspectors are contractors rather than full government employees. While there are procedures in place meant to act as a system of checks and balances, human nature being what it is...
