Well, I don't think the small number of Punjabi immigrants in Canada are likely to divide the country. In trucking it just seems like Punjabi immigrants must be completely taking over the whole country (with low, low wages and bad, bad driving) since there is such a disproportionately high percentage of Punjabi immigrants in trucking (like approaching 99% or something ridiculous like that). A disproportionately high percentage of that disproportionate number of Punjabi truck drivers are terrible truck drivers and that is the problem, not cultural integration. It is safe to say those bad Punjabi truck drivers are ignoring the laws and customs of Canada, however, which is a fundamental failure. The trucking industry invites such failure because trucking is unregulated anarchy busy flushing itself down the toilet.

So you did go? Thats good, glad you found a place to make you happy.
Not sure how the government affects cheap customers? In my line of work there's a lot of people of colour nowadays. They're the ones willing to drop 125 grand on a new trailer and fight with customers to get a decent rate. To me the rate doesn't justify a new trailer. Our rates are higher but not that much than theirs. The customers are so cheap that we get spot work for 5 cents a hundredweight difference. Or they call us only when they have heavy or pita loads. I'm ok with all that but tell what the government has to do with customers shipping departments. Btw the companies that we compete with might have a lot of drivers of colours but a lot of the bosses arent. So if the drivers are working cheaper do you really thing the boss dropped his rate? I don't. He just pockets the extra money as profit. And how does the government affect this? Have fun and good luck in your new country as an immigrant yourself.

I dodge those MOFO's all night.. 5% of them absolutely will not dim their headlights and 30% of ALL driver will not dim their headlights until they see the whites of your eyes. And 80% will not shut their ####ing bumper lights off. Ya there are way too many lame drivers behind the wheels of big trucks these days.

The whole reason I installed a big LED bar on the front of all my vehicles. I'll give a courtesy flash at a distance to say "hey dim your lights please". If they don't, its daylight time lol.

there's a big difference between an immigrant who came to a country on a partner visa as opposed to one that came to exploit a "skilled" worker program. I actually have respect for the country I moved to, and I don't try and exploit the system. I spend the money I earn here back into the country, I don't send it all back overseas. I've adapted to the lifestyle here and I'm learning about the culture, instead of trying to change it to suit myself.

Get where i'm going with this?

Unfortunately I wasn't givin tens of thousands of dollars by the government here to buy a prime mover and start a business.
