Follow up... the reason they are going to court to ask for an extension... get this! They need time to study the books. Wait a minute! You easily passed the test, in Ontario, right? should be a no brainer, right? Mpi even offered to waive the fees for the test. This is so transparent, it's not even funny.

That doesn't surprise me. However, is it not in our regulations one must be able to understand and communicate in at least one of our nation's languages, meaning English or French? The signs are largely only in English and French...
Or is that just an American regulation?

American. I've seen drivers that claimed they couldn't speak English, speak it pretty good when a state patrol officer shows up at us customs.

Lol yep I've witnessed the same thing.
"What are you hauling where did you pick it up etc etc"
    Only reply: "Dayton Ohio sir"
After several attempts (I am waiting in line and overhear all of it):
"If you can't answer my questions I am sending you back to Canada".

And what do you know? He did speak English...

And provide taxpayer-funded interpreters for the deaf. Including those looking to get commercial licenses.

Makes sense now, they charge the guy 2500.00 for ten hours on the automatic equipped truck and slip the tester 500.00 for a pass.

They officially charge them 995.00 for the training. Courses under 1000 do not fall under provincial checks. The envelope with 2000 is handed over after. Allegedly.
