Next time you renew your license you will see sign that offers the host of languages the written test is offered. Really makes no sense since all signs are English other than Quebec. That said most from northern India speak 4 languages including English
Sikh drivers who couldn't get licenenced in Manitoba have to get retested.

Are those the ones running the red lights at the Blaine POE so you never get a green light if you're trying to follow the rules by waiting?

I copied this from a recent news report put out by OPP regarding fatal truck accidents. Anyone else see a pattern? Each case drivers not paying attention.
So far in 2017, there have been a total of 67 fatalities as a result of 56 collisions involving transport trucks in Ontario.
The drivers charged in connection with the fatal collisions from this past summer are as follows:
- Baljinder Singh, 56, of Brampton is charged with two counts of dangerous driving causing death and two counts of causing death by criminal negligence in connection with the Aug. 3 crash.
- Manjit Parmarm, 54, of Brampton, is charged with two counts of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death and three counts dangerous of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm in connection with the July 30 crash.
- Jatheeson Krishnamoorthy, 31, of Scarborough, is charged with two counts of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death, two counts of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm and one count of dangerous driving in connection with the July 27 crash.

Those fellows probably got themselves into a dead end situation where they've been humping 16hr+days to make ends meet and it caught up to them at the expense of their victims. Too bad the way the industry is set up to encourage abuse at the expense of everyone involved. Regulation for fair wages to end companies and dispatchers from pushing drivers to work too many hours just for a decent living or to cover the investment in equipment needs to be considered. Of course if they were texting at the time then thats cut and dried, hang the b####ds.

Are you advocating for government regulation as to how much drivers must be paid?

Sihks are cool but...Sikhs seem to have a lot of swords on their trucks. Yet, few of them look like they could fight a fly.

Yeah ... and when someone calls a spade a spade they get jumped on for being "politically incorrect" or "bigoted" or this that and the other... but what do I know? I am just a dumb truck driver...

After my first decent snow up north in Ontario last week I'm afraid it's going to be a very long winter... It appears they have a huge new group of newbies driving on snow for the very first time in a vehicle .. I still say you should never be given a commercial license in Canada till you've driven a winter in your personal vehicle first..
Jazz1 and upnorthwpg Thank this.
