I had a minor accident about 2 months ago when a guy did a 4 lane blind crossing and it resulted in me bumping the car in front of my pickup. Property damage is under 400 dollars. Will this keep me from being employed? This is the only mark on my record at all. No tickets or anything. The accident was so minor that the person I hit did not even feel the need to call the cops and she drove the car for weeks before getting it fixed.
Silly question, I hope.

I got a call from Werner and they wanted documentation from my insurance company about the severity of the collision. They initially wanted a police report but alas, none was ever written.
I know not to follow too close. You know that sometimes you end up too close for a short time while merging in traffic though. I have driven dump trucks before so I always slow down to let the gap grow.

well no police report it will not be on you mvr so i would not say anything about it. I mean 100 bucks is pretty trivial

Anytime you rearend someone, trucking co's will say you were following to close and did not leave an out. This is not saying that people won't cut you off and put you in a bind. I think you will still be employable, but it won't help your cause either. Good luck, keep us posted. -
No report No problem, As far as your MVR it never happened so treat it like it never happened when applying for a driver position

Insurance companies can't put something on an MVR?

Insurance info has already been exchanged. A slick lawyer drags this into court. Um boss I need to be in court. The co finds you withheld info on a accident.... bye bye,,,

I was literally going 2mph faster than her when we touched. Any suggestions as to how you would avoid that situation while merging? Maybe I missed something in my pondering?
PS. I put the accident on my apps so far. I may be many things. A womanizer (if that term is even used anymore), a hot head, even a jerk depending who you ask, but I am no liar.
