Sometimes running at night helps, it's peaceful and if you can find a place to park the truck....no shower line. I would unload, deadhead, reload, nap, drive thru the night, around 4:30 am. I learned my bodies clock was gonna put up a fight tell sun up- so nap again, then do it all over. Kind of a ruff schedule if you don't feel like doing it -don't. Worked good for me...always nice and quite, less 4-wheelers. The down side is that the late night fast food workers usually suck and learning your bodies clock- and not to fight it.

    And therein lies the secret.
Park early before the crowds arrive, and run later at night.
More parking places and shorter, if any, lines to shower and/or eat.
When the other drivers are just pullin' in, be pullin' out.

Coming in late at night works too --- but finding a parking place can be a challenge in the busier truck stops.

Don't follow the sheep who only want to drive the daylight hours or
you'll always be fighting a crowd. Think OUTside the box.
    Dare to be different.

Once y'all realize how much easier it is to do that, that ol' body
clock will adjust itself. All it takes is a desire, and a little determination.

    Good post, Faber. :yes2557:

My parents think its wall to wall of hot tempting hookers the minute you pull in the truck entrance. And that you have to beat em off with a stick just to go to the TS building.

    LMFAO............

Yeah they didn't really want me driving a truck.

I'm sure that my parents think I cheat on my wife every week.

This isn't the only thing they think they know about, and in reality have no clue at all.

There are none so blind as those who will not see?

Do your parents view ALL Big truck truck drivers the same as you?

Let me guess --- your parents wanted you to be a doctor,
    or a lawyer? :biggrin_25525:

MY parents, on the other hand, figured I'd wind up bein' a
    ditch digger.
So when I got into Big truck truckin', they were (slightly) relieved.
But what they REALLY wanted me to become, is a
    chimney-sweep.
Complete with black coat and tails, and a top-hat.
    Imagine that.

    I keed you not.
    Well, ........... maybe just a little. :biggrin_25523:
