They will keep your escrow and make up a thousand reasons why. They will blame you for damage that doesn't exist. They say they're in St. Louis but it's another foreigner owned company operating out of Illinois. Recruiters lie about pay rates and what they will and won't pay for. They have driver-facing cameras and will pay you less-per-mile if you opt to keep it covered (which they will not tell you until they put the contract in front of you, day 3 of orientation). Cheap freight to places where getting reloaded will be a hassle, slowing you down, wasting time and money. Call to get your pay and they will lie and give you the runaround. You've been warned.

Why would said company require an escrow, unless you were maybe leasing tractor from said company?

I was looking into this company recently because their equipment looks amazing but I saw nothing but bad reviews.

Luckily, there are several good companies in and around the STL area, hell it's a bunch of good companies all over Missouri. You'll land on your feet quickly, at least I hope.

I think there should be a disclaimer, if your company requires an escrow, count on eating that money.

We only require escrow for lease operators or owner operators. Company drivers are on W2 without any escrow.

The only time escrow wouldn’t be returned is if you had damages to the truck or trailer. Additionally any truck payments owed, truck cleanings, fuel, insurance would come out of your escrow. Really standard lease stuff.

We recommend to everyone that isn’t ready to be a business owner to join us as a W2 company driver. See if you like us, if you do then lease. If you don’t then go separate way.

At least the dude had the nurtz to reply. And, yeah, that's what an escrow is for. We have no way of knowing what kind of condition the equipment was in when he turned it in.

Ah yes, the old "truck damage" and "cleaning" fees. Always a money maker. "Is that a scratch on your Qualcomm screen? That is going to cost you my friend. We also noticed a couple of hose clamps under the hood that will need to be replaced and a couple of your lug nuts seem to be damaged."
