Simple New Mexico weight distance and ifta question....

    Sounds right. Here it is a different way:

    Gallons burned == taxable gallons. You calculate the taxable gallons on the regular fuel tax line (Miles/avgMPG). Carry that taxable gallons number down to the surcharge line times the rate.

    The rest of the values you would have put into the regular tax line aren't relevant for a surcharge line, since they are "surcharging" you for taxable gallons used in their state.

    And yes this time I was looking at an actual form to make sure I wasn't guessing again LOL.
