I saw it advertised at Pilot for 29.99- after $50 mail in rebate.
Anyone use this?
Is it easy to install/ start using? I assume there is a subscription needed and wonder how long of a commitment and how much monthly?
Thanks in advance for any usable info.

We had a rental LaCrosse for a few days that featured satellite radio. Being able to get Baltimore or Seattle or some other station without any fuzz or static was a real joyful time.
You would think trucking companies would pay up for something like that in your tractor trailer as a driver retention tool.blairandgretchen Thanks this. -
Texas Rebel and blairandgretchen Thank this.

You will need a outside antenna..the little bug one that comes with the car kit will work ok..just mount it securely on top somewhere..or spend a little extra and get the mirror mount antenna made for trucks..

My experience with using an antenna inside the truck was very bad...signal kept going in and out no matter where I put it...once you mount a outside antenna, your trouble free.
MrEd Thanks this. -
You really need to get the antenna on the roof of truck to get good and reliable signal. If you have old style mirrors on truck you can get the antenna out in the open air. The fiberglass roof will block some of the signal. Then add the trees and stuff you got no radio.
The basic kit comes with the roof antenna. I got my company shop to hook it to tractor roof. They had some super strong double sided tape. I never lose signal now. I would always loose signal in PA because of the trees with the truck antenna on Cascadia, usung that antenna bracket hook to mirrors. Because you only had cleared view of the sky on one side of the truck.MrEd Thanks this. -
All current models are very easy to install. No tools needed. Activation is a snap. Either online or by phone. As others advise, the little antenna will do fine. I used to use the big expensive Big Rig antenna, but for several reasons had to abandon it.
Just take some gorilla tape and fasten the little antenna to one of the mirrors. It has a magnet mount also so if your truck has a good section of steel it will hold fast. Enjoy.Texas Rebel Thanks this. -
When you buy a radio it will come with an antenna. Just mount it to your mirror bracket. Put a strip of black electrical tape around it, to help hold in place. Dont bother spending $50-60 on the big truck antenna. I got one for Xmas a few years back guess what? It doesn't work any better than the little free on that came with the radio. *hint* I have had it since xm launched. At o e point I had both Sirius and am. What I learned is since the merge programming is almost identical. But if you tell Sirius there to expensive. They will give you a "one time" special deal. (I get it every year and pay $79 for a one year subscription) xm says thats the price take it or leave it.
