I use XM. I really like it. I dont remember exactly what I pay. I pay for it yearly. I use an XM reciever that I hook through the stereo aux imput. Our stereos in the truck have XM in them. But I use my Xm reciever anyway so I can easily move it to my pickup, or another company truck without having to call XM. Those things have a "dock". So I just have a 2nd dock and antenna in my pickup. Its a snap to pop the receiver from on dock to another. And its not hard to move the dock and all if you need to. I know of a number of guys who use Pandora and similar apps on their smart phone. And that works. But I am paranoid about getting popped for cellphone usage. Except for emergency calls, I dont think the law cares why you are using your phone. Id hate to get a cellphone ticket for changing Pandora on my phone. You can pay about 12 years of SiriusXM for wjat a cellphone usage ticket can cost ya. Anyway....I believe SiriusXM to be well worth the money. One more thing I like.....you can put XM on one channel and listen to it all the way across the country without changing it if you want. No trying to tune an FM radio every 50 miles as signals fade with the town in your rearview mirror.
