I used to think I couldn't survive without satellite radio. I listen mostly to talk radio and news so I haven't been affected by the programming changes. I've actually gained sports channels which I also listen to. So I'm happy with it right now.
But I'm ready for them to go out of business. I have my home stereo in the truck with my computer hooked into it and download podcasts and audiobooks. -
I've come to the conclusion that I can certainly live without it to.
At first, it was nice to have but it's gotten boring just like satellite tv. -
I had a hard time living without it for the first couple of months I came back to OTR driving. Being a die hard Colts fan, having the NFL games alone is worth the subscription to me.
I also really enjoy the music channels. I listen to country primarily, and today's country music is a joke to me. Artists like Rascal Flatts, Big and Rich, Taylor Swift, etc. and their "country" music must have Hank Williams and Patsy Cline rolling in their graves. If you listen to country on terrestrial radio, all you'll hear is this new pop country crap with an occasional George Strait or Garth Brooks song thrown in for good measure. I really like Prime Country (Sirius 61) and The Roadhouse (Sirius 62). Since the merger added channels last Wednesday I've also been quite content with Willie's Place (Sirius 64).
If there is no more satellite radio, I'll survive of course, but I'll definitely be griping about it for several months.
Baack Thanks this. -
I hope the don't go udders up,....I payed for a lifetime subscription....

Solution fire Howard Stern and take his money back, I dont think they'll go belly up but then again these days who knows. Ive had xm since it started and too be honest with ya I would miss the sports coverage out of all of it.
