Maybe if you'd put a diaper on that head I'd concur.
I'm gonna install a roll cage and 5 point harness to hold me in my seat and wear a helmut to see if anyone can come up with some new super trucker jokes. Rolf![]()
Sit low with a long shifter?

Holding it sideways mean a guarantee kill shot, don't you know that.

Most people don't know this, but "Pants on the Ground" originated in prisons. If you wanted all the guys to know you were available, you wore your pants low as an invitation.
Seriously- and I'm not kidding. -
Oh.....You're just sayin' that, Cause it's true! -

I don't care what the other person does as long as it doesn't affect me, but I will say low seats to me don't look any dumber than those Volvo drivers with their seat up so high they look as though they would fall out the window if the seat belt broke.
Flying Dutchman Thanks this. -
The other day I saw a KW W 900 with an ultra long shifter (glowed neon blue) that had about 3" clearance from the headliner and thought that looked really stupid. Last night I spied this thread and realized that the Über tall shifter sighting was not a unique occurance. This morninig i was was milling about in the Honda-Tech Forum and low and behold saw a thread about tall shifters titled "DIY Extended Shifter- Somewhat ghetto style."
Below is one posters thoughts about this modification.
"Well i can say from experience that its not a pointless mod, and i have seen track cars ith the Fast line shifter and the circuit hero shift extension i do have a problem with your design though, giving that I'm sure yours is for the bling factor, as i don't think you've thought it out enough, the hollow tubing you used is very structurally weak, and heating it up and bending it just made it that much weaker. And it looks to me as if your using it on a stock shifter, which is retarded as all your doing is slowing the throw down. Plus as has been said this is WAAAAAAAAAY to high.
I give u props on the ingenuity, but you could've done some research and though it out a little more.
If you want a real shift extension contact me, i use 6061 aluminum solid bar for light weight and maximum strength. I also don't use any kind of bends just a straight design. Mine has seen rigorous abuse and is still holding on real strong and as your shifting your MACK truck shifter that is exactly what ill be doing, moving on!! right down the track past you. if u want a big ### shifter then buy a big rig and move to the middle of nowhere."
Now that I have thought about it more and watched this video I am going to say, "the long shifters are just ok."
