Shaggy,, no one's making any decisions... and everyone is free to give their opinion, just as you are. Each opinion weighs the same.
It's still Day1, and many fine-tunes, additions, and fixes will be in progress.
Right now, system stability and any obvious usability problems we might encounter are high priority.

 

Man, I know how much coordination and work is involved in a forum upgrade. You were vBulletin before, right? Can you list the reasons why you switched to xenForo? Thanks, I'll take my answer off the air

 

To answer your question directly... there is no 'desktop view' link or vice-versa.
Xenforo is considered optimized for both desktop and mobile use, tho devices may differ significantly.
I've run the new TTR on my android 4.4 only minimally so far, and it really sizes nicely, both in landscape and portrait mode.

Out of curiosity, have you also tried both style versions (Default and Trucker Report-V2) switchable via the 'style chooser' on the bottom lower left of the page to note any differences?

 

Not the best interface when trying to quote someone. I'm on 5.0.1 on my Note4. Just have to scroll a little.

 

I saw that function but I'm still getting acquainted with the new GUI; switching back would confuse this ol' brain too much, I'm afraid. Maybe tomorrow...

 

So far I like the old forum better.

When I click on Motor Carrier Questions - The Inside Scoop there is now an extra step needed to get to the list of carriers, and then I have to scroll down the list to find mine.

In the old forum it led directly to a page with links, in a compact form, that showed everything.


With the new format it is more difficult to see when the last post was posted in a thread, as well.


And what exactly are Trophy Points?
Are they when someone thanks you? If so, I'm not sure why I have zero.

 

And just after posting that last response I see that my Trophy Points is at 113, as seems it is for many others.
That's a funny glitch.

 

The new site looks pretty good... so far easy to navigate... More modern, more practical and Facebook "friendly"... I like it... THANK YOU for your hard work and hours working on it... I truly appreciate all you guys do for us and the trucking industry.
One question, can I still send a private message to someone? Is that the same as "start conversation"? Thanks again and keep up with the great work!
