If you highlight the post, and hit the delete or back button, it should remove it from your reply area.

Agreed. When I highlighted it & pressed delete... it did, but ....
Since I decided not to use the post, I went on about my business. When I refreshed the page to update to new posts/threads, the quote re-appeared in my little box. I guess it woulda always stayed there until I actually deleted the quote & posted something. Every time I deleted it & refreshed the page, the quote I put in, kept coming back.
I am guessing if there was a "cancel" button to cancel the initiated post, it would clear it.

:pA couple of things I've noticed:
When I'm on my tablet and want to insert a smiley, rather than it going to where I place the cursor, it shows up at the beginning of the post. As it has here.
The other thing is that when I try to hit the arrow button on a quote, so I can see the original post, it does nothing. Haven't noticed either of these problems on my PC though.

Don, I cannot replicate your issues. Both work for me on my phone. :(

One thing I seem to miss

"on the most recent posts list" is who made the post....

OK, thanks for trying. It may be a glitch in my tablet. I remember even on the old forum, I'd click on a subscribed post, trying to get to the first unread post, and it would just take me to the first thread in the post. It isn't the best of tablets in the world. . .
