Yeah, I have heard some are moving hay at below $2/mi. That seems pretty cheap.

arizona has some pretty decent rates. going into texas. i almost took one. but every load in arizona was tarped. and i really wasn't in the mood to tarp something that high in 110 degrees.

i've hauled hay in the northwest.not great rates but compared to what else there was to haul. i've yet to haul a tarp load.

Also is the hay a wide load or will it fit without any overhang?
How many miles and what region is it going to?
Brokers can tell you what the going rate is usually.

All dimensions and weight are under 50 state regulation, so no permits. I am in South Central KS and have firm buyers in OK pan handle, SW KS, NW KS, Southern Nebraska, and Eastern CO. I am just waiting on trucking and now weather since we have waited this long. Usually dry this time of year though.

I will load you in 1 hr. I was originally looking for 53ft trailers but found they bring more per mile and it may be more economical for 48ft since they are more common I guess.

Again, no tarp, no permit requirements. COD.

I did look at internettruckstop.com and honestly could not figure out how the friggin site works. I will have to do more clicking I guess...

I would have guessed that it costs extra to ship hay. Someone has to sweep and dispose of the leftover straw that trashed up the truck after the bails were unloaded. Right?
