I have a brand new cobra 29 chrome thats had the color changed in the meter and an echo board installed..Its matched with a midnight 250..Was ment for my dad but he passed away some yrs ago before i got it ro him and i just never bothered with it.....

I was in the state of mass or new hampshire and listened to a fella out in the mojave,sounded like he was 5 mi away..

Well its a technique used in tube type radio, known as straping, increasing the ampreage available to the tubes, thus increasing the performance of the tubes. I hope I have explained it correctly. Not something that could be done to transistors, well would have no affect on transistors in any case. But something like a Johnson Viking Big Difference, but normally would go along with also changing transformers in the Power supply.
