With that much experience, why can't you find a local job with a better company than Celadon or Swift?...I don't get why it's tough for you, very few care about sleep apnea, that I know of, and those that do I wouldn't recommend to my enemies...jmho

I have a cpap and have never had any problems getting a job or medical card. I use my machine every night and love it. Isleep better and feel better.
Take responsibility for yourself.....droo, Chinatown, Wild Murphy and 5 others Thank this. -
Driver- give Titan Transfer a try. I'm not sure what their policy is on the sleep apnea thing (which is really another excuse for the industry to pick your pocket & send u on a wild goose chase). But, I've been w/ Titan for almost a year now. A very good company. Swift sucks, I know firsthand. Cheeseman blows too. EW Wylie- stay away from. But Titan, if you can get them- try to. Hope it works out for u.

I was diagnosed with severe sleep apnea before I ever even went into trucking, I showed up with all my documents and everything was good to go, I was even renewed this past March for 2 years on my medical. I use my machine every single night and it does wonders for me.
I am one of those Swifties but you know what I have been on a dedicated account for over a year now and I can be home just about every single night working 5 days a week, I might of only made around $50k for the year but its enough to keep my family going for now until im finally ready to move to something else, the wife is really trying to get me back to being a Chef but those hours are not any better.DRAGON64, tnt440, Wild Murphy and 2 others Thank this. -
Just don't tell anyone u have sleep apnea. . I had it over 10 years.. been thru 4 sleep studies and wore out 5 machines... and never told a doctor doing my physical or any company I'm applying with that I have sleep apnea. .been driving over 20 years

GregH65, Flybynight041 and kewphotog Thank this. -
You might want to look Around the mega's are buying up these smaller outfits and even larger ones like they are on sale at a flea market. I see prime with different trailers everyday. Celedon. Just took over an outfit out of Denver Furniture Row express. Heard something about US express taking over most of Arnold who not to long ago bought link America. Who bought out a ton of smaller companies b4 that.
So jumping from company to company to avoid sleep apnea testing or just a few years ago it was to avoid elogs. Will be a full time job in itself. Say no to the extra large pizza with every meat known to man, and yes to some exercise and you should be able to stay under the 40 bmi and 17 inch neck size that flags you for A sleep study. -
