Some insurance companies require that you have a periodic sleep study/follow-up. My old insurance carrier...you had to have a follow-up sleep study every three years. That's in addition to if your neurologist or primary care physician recommends a follow-up sleep study.

My insurance hasnt bothered me but I might look into doing another study on my own, its been a couple years. I feel like my machine isnt working 100% anymore so I want to get it fixed/replaced or reset with new settings asap.

You don't need to go through the entire sleep lab for this. They can send you home with a pulse oximeter that records everything that happens during the night. It is much cheaper. (And you'll get a much better nights sleep.) If they won't do this, and require you to do the full study, then you are likely at a rip off outfit. Unless they can come up with a reason that sounds logical to you, don't fall for it.

I will let the insurance pay for everything just like last time, just have to get my doctor to submit the referrals and stuff which last time took the insurance like 3 months to accept.

The only people not making money off medical insurance are the end users who get dicked over by rising rates and/or worsening coverage (to include higher deductibles).

Same here on one study. Mine was either 2000 or 2001. I'm on my fourth machine now. First one was defective and replaced within the first few months. The others were replaced because they were made obsolete. They still worked, just didn't have all the setting of the newer ones.

My study was kind of a PITA as we were living at the south rim of the Grand Canyon. Had to go to Phoenix to get the overnight study done. Had to have the wife take me down there, as I'd have killed myself or somebody else by going to sleep behind the wheel.

CPAP has literally saved my life.
