brother snores like a bear, and he is skinny.sister in law has shook him a couple times because he isnt breathing.I have sleep apnea but its not on my medical card. Its not in my medical records either.the specialist is the only one who knows about it.You have to wear a mask which many have a hard time getting used to.If you are one that has difficulty they will know by the computer output on the cpap. You will be told you are non compliant and not allowed to drive.ask the company what is involved in the physical.most physicals I go to dont really care about your weight but have sent drivers home for sugar in their urine

Sometimes. Often it's hereditary, such as in my case.

Me: 5'6", 250. Been snoring heavily, even waking up with the proverbial choking and gagging since I was 180.

My father: 5'6". 165. 74 years old. Been on CPAP for a dozen years.

Weight is not always the issue, or the only issue.

Thanks, I've been below my goal "ideal" weight before and that did not help. I went to an ENT and I believe he mentioned polyps but did not indicate anything needed to be done. I was inquiring about rinoplasty at the time and was told I was not a candidate. One problem I have is that I've had this condition since before I retired from the Army but was never diagnosed nor treated for it. I've got friends that were diagnosed before retiring and now are drawing 70% disability from VA for it. Oh well...

We are losing drivers because of this stuff. Some have been driving for years with no accidents

Funny you should mention the tape test. Had to do it the last 10 years of my career in the Army. The Army and Navy came up with the tape test charts because the BMI would have put a vast amount of the men and women over. I think the BMI is a crock of crap made up during the depression when nobody had anything to eat. I maxed my PT test and ran marathons and still had to tape.

Well good luck with that. I personally don't really care if I have it or not it's a condition that is common these days I work in the health care industry as a delivery driver I bring ppeople their oxygen and other supplies I know all about these machines but we have cpaps with memory cardsthough. I know surgery sucks I had in one year after my leg was crushed by a vehicle. Leg was reconstructed and now it feels fine. But this is life
