I think it is a scam as well I was diagnosed with it in 07. Doctors didnt want to find out what was causing it. They just wanted to make me use a cpap. I lost 50lbs and guess what? No more SA I already didnt drink or smoke I just ate....Alot! I have put back on 15lbs since then but still no sign of it Just ask my wife. I have never checked the box for SA type symtoms since. It was my family doc that suggested I take the test due to having high blood pressure for a few yrs. Today my bp is well under borderline

Apparently you were a good bit overweight and your family doctor referred you for a Sleep study, not a trucking company. Why are you calling it a scam? It's common knowledge that losing significant amount of weight may lower blood pressure and may eliminate Sleep Apnea.

I'm a good bit overweight and I have both Sleep Apnea and high blood pressure. If I can ever find the discipline to lose 50 pounds, I may find myself with lower blood pressure and maybe not need a cpap also.

I had sleep apnea and high blood pressure long before i gained all my weight. Doctor says significant weight gain can be related to sleep apnea...

after starting on my cpap i began feeling much better and lost 56 lbs the first 8 months...

but still had sleep apnea...i have friends who are very thin who have sleep apnea and must use a cpap...

This thread is turning into the "Neverending Story". XLSDraw, instead of driving a truck.....you should make your mode of transportation a big white flying dog. lol :biggrin_2559:

Falkor is his name. He only got 4 mpg when flying so they had to run him slow.
