What if none of the masks work? Also, that is not true, if the meds are missed for a few days then there is nothing monitored that can catch that.

The monitoring is being directed by the insurance companies. Driver won't comply, we can't insure them.

Okay, notice the part where no one forced him to take a sleep study to keep his job.

That's from the p&c insurance companies. Same reason why some companies won't hire new drivers. Their insurance company won't cover them.

Do you just argue to argue? Now you are saying it's from the insurance companies. Before it was because of lawsuits and that drivers lied and that full grown men couldn't possibly be trusted to relay accurate information about how they feel. What is it? Why are you so against just listening to what a person says about how they sleep?

Are you so narrow minded to not understand they can read your blood oxygen levels ?Do you not understand when someone is tired they will eat and drink sugar to try and make up for being tired ? Do not see how truck driver who can sleep on demand is a bad thing ? You hear and read all the time drivers want take nap. That's what they tell us is a good thing to do. If you sleep all night you should not be able go back to sleep anytime you just lay down in bed. You just don't want to believe it. Why do we check driver blood pressure? Because you and we all know driver will lie about to keep their jobs. You have to be smarter then that to think people won't lie.

Why don't you talk about peoples AHI numbers so we are all on the same level.

It's all tied together. Companies want to make sure there isn't an accident because of a driver being tired. Company reports to insurance that driver has been diagnosed with apnea and insurance says get them on a cpap or we can't insure them anymore for the same reason.
