Oh it's very real. I had a doctor at a clinic try and send me for a sleep study. I wrote a thread about it on here. It was ridiculous. I just walked out and went to another clinic but when it's your company trying to screw you its another story.

Im over the moon here. First we sleep next week now we cannot even think about waking up and sending them the charts from the previous sleep cycle before anything.
Chalk me up as a non compliant, if a employer wants to watch me sleep via submitted results each day, then I will find another employer.
Sleeping in a big rig by day then by night and back to day again several times a week, it's a wonder you sleep at all. I can do it. But it's crazy. Humans are not wired for that kind of flip flopping sleep schedules. -
Someone's always needing a warm body lol

Keep cryin until that guy drifts right into you or your family. My brother drifts off at the dinner table. Fork ends up in his ear. He was in denial til his young daughter laughed so hard he got gobsmacked with mashed. #### and do your diligence. I couldn't care less about you and yours but the 3 hour pileup while they are scraping your disaster off the hiway's gonna cost me some coin. BTW I been tested twice. My fat arse ain't got it but if I did I'D COMPLY!!!

Pretty soon these companies will require drivers to put a tube up their butts so they can monitor the methane level of your flatulence. You know, so they can stay compliant with their "Green Company" status.

If you guessed they both found there is a 0% correlation between apnea and fatigued driving you would be correct.
Not to mention how very unscientific the tests are... "You can't fall asleep in a new location, hooked to 100 wires in a new, unfamiliar room? Well here are some drugs to help you sleep...:
Also there is the whole sleep one night, and that single one night test is supposed to be accurate? Heck, the tested could have had a mild cold.
No, once we get reliable testing methods, and a reliable study stating apnea causes fatigued driving, it's just another way for companies to screw the driver. -
How does it screw us...when most companies pay for everything...
