The reason the calls don’t stopped and you’re tracked is because you’re lumped in with the lowest common denominator. If you don’t want to deal with it then move into a different sector that takes some skill and training. The only road bump is that you want to live in the truck.
I already have my dispatch for tomorrow. I have 5 loads to do and I’ll come home when they’re done. I won’t communicate with anyone at all unless there is an issue, as far as my office checking on me, that won’t happen.77fib77, brian991219, Truckermania and 3 others Thank this. -

CDL driving doesn require skill and training? Lowest common denominator of what

The easiest sector of trucking is general freight, like dry van and reefer. You’re being tracked and checked on multiple times a day because they’re catering to the lowest common denominator, for example people that aren’t reliable. And because dry van and reefer are the easiest jobs to get there are far more unreliable people doing the work than in other sectors where it wouldn’t be tolerated. Thus, multiple check calls daily.77fib77 and brian991219 Thank this.
