I heard someone mention "Sleeper cabs". I googled them and saw some beds behind the truckers seat, etc. Is that standard in trucking? Do most or all companies have those. I would much rather sleep on a mattress than in a chair.

If you are expected to stay out (OTR/Regional) you will have a sleeper.
Some will let you stay in hotels and reimburse, but not that common.
No company worth working for will expect you to sleep in drivers seat.MidWest_MacDaddy, Short Fuse EOD, tucker and 4 others Thank this. -
Are they comfortable?

Western flyer, csw1818, str8t10 and 12 others Thank this.

But think it's more that I'm more used to the bed in my truck. -
so you put your own mattress back there. what size is it? a twin?
-
Size depends on truck. -
Twin sheet fits most sleeper mattresses. If the mattress is shot tell em you want a new one. If they say no drag the old one out and set it on fire lol.
BoostedTeg and rachi Thank this. -
Go to the website of the truck manufacturer, they all have pretty good photos of their sleeper cabs
Highwayhamburger Thanks this. -
