I do stick to American companies and that's really too much for my brain. When you described the cattle trailer configuration, I remember reading something about that one time. First I'd ever heard of that.

I've always said I work for a weird company and I kinda like it. At least my part of it. The yard I run out of actually has a water slid and rope swing into a river.
I assume we can't be the only ones who do this since we can actually buy the convertible trailers. I have a hard time believe that we get them special built this way just for us. -
Sounds just like Hereford. Used to haul killers into Caviness down there. Always went out to the triangle trailer wash and went to bed. Right on the tracksMilkman719 Thanks this.

It depends on many things. The kind of truck parked next door for one. Most newer mainstream models aren't too bad. Get stuck next to an older Peterbilt or Kenworth and good luck. Ear plugs help a bit, but you still feel the vibration.

I used to pull into the truck wash at Perrysburg, OH at 2am, and get my pneumatic tanker washed out. Couldn't haul the load home in a dirty tank. After the washout, I'd go out in the parking lot, fire everything up, and dry it out. Usually took about 45 minutes, sound was deafening, like a jet taking off.
More than once I got the stink eye for waking someone upgwilli89, lovesthedrive and wore out Thank this. -
I wish now I would a kept the heil pneumatic tank that came with my truck, or at least kept the blower on it. You have given me all kinds of cool ideas lol
rbrtwbstr and lovesthedrive Thank this. -
I got a stunning wake up call in Texas recently. Pulled into a truck stop around 3 AM. Went right to bed. About nine was awoken by fighter jets screaming overhead. I'd forgotten about the Air Force base nearby.
Studebaker Hawk, LindaPV and lovesthedrive Thank this. -
It's pretty bad when a refer driver drops his trailer next to you, he then bobtails elsewhere so he doesn't have to listen to it. What's worse is waking up with a horse trailer next to you and the horses kicking and making noises.
Not as nad as a smelly cattle trailer though. -
But it's just as fun taking that reefer and parking it right next to him later. "Here! You lost something!"
-
I can say dropping a trailer to get away from it is pretty crappy. However I do pull cattle about 50 percent of the time. When I'm tired ready for bed it is what it is, and I don't hate it for the neighbors
scottlav46 Thanks this.
