If ambien is not allowed in trucking what is acceptable I have anxiety and a problem with insomnia that is managed with ambien.

I was wondering the same thing. I dont like using sleep aides over the long term but I use a tylenol sleep pill or something similar every once in awhile.

this is the first time i'm hearing this. i know from the commercials you are not supposed to "operate machinery" during the time you have taken the medication, and after a 10 hour break shouldn't a person be good to go..??
just curious. i need more info please. -

you might end up taking an "over the counter" med, again, which should be advised by YOUR DOCTOR. -
Just where can a person find a list of doctor prescribed drugs that the DOT has listed as no can take or out of service during the period a person is on them. I have searched the CFR data base and did not find anything.
