Just gotta find the right gig. Not all will have you gone 16 hours a day.
street beater, Brettj3876, Lumper Humper and 3 others Thank this. -
I was over the road with prime for a month and found out it wasn’t for me so I came back and I have been applying for local jobs. I have a client at all the food service the drinks the liquor distributors etc. Still haven’t landed one. I have no restrictions on my license zero points and I did drive a year as a bus driver so I have other commercial driving experience.

I had a small car hauling company want to hire me but her company was in disarray she ran me with her insurance and I wasn’t expensive because I’m almost 50 years old even with only a few months tractor trailer. It’s these across-the-board corporate policies.
of course I’m in Florida which I know is crappy for over the road truck companies but we still have the same local stuff is everywhere else -
Is Florida building? Maybe a construction company. What about concrete?
Are you south Florida? The pan handle is like the rest of America for regional jobs -
I just gotta say from first hand experience, building experience with class B work is not a waste of time. Granted it might not get you dragging a trailer quite as soon as youd like, plus i myself had taken a few painful losses along the way from just horrible "employers" but in the end it worked and paid off 10 fold
Rugerfan Thanks this. -
I need class A experience not class B. I want to move on to a company like Estes or FedEx freight type of linehaul job. I need a year experience pulling a tractor trailer. It’s really not about the money or just needing a job, I need that Class A experience.
unfortunately right now I am in South Florida but we are considering moving back to North Central Florida.Last edited: Jan 30, 2021

it doesn’t add to your class A experience which I need. I used to have a class B. I’ve driven Dumps, utility trucks, bucket trucks etc.

Which town are you in now?
Which town will you be in when you move to Central Florida?
Let us know and maybe give you some job leads that you're qualified for. -
Hi I’m in Jupiter but have no problem driving. We might be relocating back to North or Orlando, Deland/Deltona area.Chinatown Thanks this.
