so my company won’t allow a power inverter in the truck so I can only use the 12 volt inverters that only push up to 180 watts. Does anyone know a good slow cooker that uses less than that? I would prefer not to use the road pro as I had one catch fire.
I found a 3 quart that claims 200w output and was also wondering if anyone know if that is its power output on high setting, or overall. If it uses less than that on low I can just cook on low all the time.

That supposedly uses 78 watts, don't know if it is too small for you though. -
I use a lunchbox cooker just fine. Canned stuff
homeskillet and flood Thank this. -
Sorry for your mishap, OP.
My RoadPro slow cooker works great.
Good luck with your search. -
I used to used a little crock pot slow cooker and a 300/400w inverter.
It was a little two quart model and it taxed the inverter.
It really depends on the quality of the inverter, AND where you get your power supply.
If you can tap the batts, it'll likely work fine.
Mine was a cig plug and I can tell you for a fact that it did cause the plug to burn out.
I was watching tv on a break and heating some grub when I smelled wire burning.
That was the end of that.
I did it for a long time before the issue.. but it could have been a mess.
Bought a 2k watt and wired it to the batts. Use a microwave now. -
Personally, I would install one and not tell the owner. Just make sure you don’t use it while your engine is off, and remove the inverter before you turn in the truck (at least for OTR drivers).
