I wasn't really directing that at you in general. I just wanted everyone who's reading to know that it's not a easy job and definitely not one that you can cut corners

I know drivers make 120 000 150 000 a year, but they are never home or 1-2 days a month.

I know Owner Operator, I have seen his monthly grosses, he grosses at 40 000 a month, I don't know what's his before taxes amount, but roughly cut it half

but I cannot go over 70K, but cannot complain about home time, I am at home at least 2 days a week. and it is slow season

Wow that sucks!!! No home time is important to me. I think most company drivers are home during the weekend.

If I was single nothing is so joyful as driving places and I would live in a truck, would have slept 2-3 days in a hotel per month with beautiful companion, I would have made 150K and then 1 months I would have completely disappeared. With 20K in one month you can F** cycle the world and have time of your life

You just need to keep driving for someone if you think 20k is enough to say **** the world and have the time of your life. Expenses add up quick in this business and the money goes much quicker than you think

I was an owner operator for the oilfield hotshot business. I know exactly what y'all talking about. I loved the freedom of being the decision maker, but the expenses became a nightmare when oilfield went down in 2009. I had to get out.

I know. I'm not saying 20k a month is nothing but on a bad month it could go much faster than you think

Well I applied and called Jackie Schultz the recruiter told me I didn't score high enough to be Considered. I told him I have all the qualifications they had on website and then some. I quess they need an MIT major to even have an interview. I asked him what I can do to be considered and basically no reply. Wow!! How can they judge someone just by an basic application.
