Haven't been able to weigh myself the past few days. Was sick for three days, so walked very little the one day. Yesterday, I stopped at a truck stop in Bowling Green, MO off US61. There's a nice walking park across the street tucked between the Walmart and the truck stop. Walked roughly 2 miles. Rained like hell last night. Just waiting to find a reload, probably will walk at the end of my shift.

I did splurge and get some hot wings (1/4 pound) from the Flying J yesterday, but all told ate roughly 1500 calories for the day. Apple slices, carrots, turkey sandwich, milk, cheerios, and some almonds.

Feeling good. Clothes fit a lot better and walking gets easier and easier. Doesn't feel like exercise now.

I'm still at it, haven't fallen off the wagon yet. I've just been very busy. I'm down to 337 as of this afternoon. So a 22 lb loss so far. I'm very happy.

Walked for 45m yesterday. Couldn't walk 2 days ago due to the weather. Truck has been in the shop several times recently (the pitfalls of an older truck). But she's still plugging along.

Adding this from my phone at the TA in laredo. Hot as hell, haven't walked yet.

Good on you for being accountable!! It isn't easy to start a routine, and then sticking to it is even harder. Continue the good work!

You MUST get on meds for that blood pressure. With that bottom number measures the pressure on you blood vessels. When you exercise your blood pressure will rise with your heart rate and the rise can cause you to have a heart attack or stroke.
Worse yet, the vessel can rupture. This you cannot survive. This happened to my friend. These are the type of reasons they tell you to see your doctor BEFORE you begin any diet or exercise plan.

Been a while since I had a good chance to post. Am currently at 333. Been slow going as I was on vacation and didn't really adhere to well to my diet (in all honestly, I ignored it most days). Walked a bit, but not as much as I should've. Still down a tad, but not the progress I wanted. Still feeling good. It's easier to keep the diet in the truck than when at home.

Here, I can control what is in the truck and monitor exactly what it is that I'm eating. At home, (and especially on vacation), it's hard to keep track and you over do it.

But, I'm still working along at it.

Vacations and holidays are hard, but your still working it and that's what counts. Good for you. Read Dr. Oz's website regarding that HCG stuff. It's not medically approved for weight loss and some people had BAD experiences like dizziness and fainting. That's not something you'd want to happen behind the wheel of a truck. I've been reading alot regarding weight loss and they say if you eat your proteins first, then all your veggies and try to avoid bad carbs, you'll loose. Also have read not to drink anything while eating or for 45 minutes after a meal and the food will digest slower and you'll feel fuller longer. I'm going to give this a try, it can't hurt. I've eaten mostly proteins and only carbs through veggies and I've lost 3 lbs in 5 days. I only have sugar in my coffee. Can't seem to give in to artificial sweeteners, they give me a horrible case of dry mouth and that will lead to dental issues. If you read what they say on reputible websites like Dr. Oz or even Weight Watchers, there's something to say for protein and weight loss.

One thing you can try in your coffee in place of the sugar, is a small amount of cinnamon. Also, drinking water with your meal does 2 things: a)helps to fill your stomach while eating, so you eat less, and b)dilutes the acids in your stomach, so the food breakdown is slower. If you're after a fuller feeling for longer, have some water with your meals.
