Well, it's been a while. Been extremely busy late. Had a dedicated run that I was doing for a month, but left me little time to walk or eat properly. Stopped that, and then went on a two week vacation with my wife. Which certainly didn't help.
After backsliding a tad, I'm still at it. Same weight as I was. Which is a little disappointing to have plateaued. It's much harder now than when I was 21. I walked 3 miles yesterday, but developed a blister, so I didn't walk today. Plus, I'm in Phoenix and it's about 3-degrees cooler than the sun, so I think I'll hold off walking.
Tomorrow I'm taking it easy on the load I've got, so will walk about 3-6 more miles, depending how I feel. I still am trying to be down to 290 by Thanksgiving. Have two months. So, 10 pounds a month is my goal right now. I'm sure the Thanksgiving-Christmas time won't do me any favors, plus with the weather turning, making walking much more difficult to plan safely.
dieseldave1982, I really don't eat 'sugar'. I'm just not a 'sweets' guy. I do like the occasional chocolate bar or reese's cup. But, cookies, sugary candy, etc just has never been my thing. I am trying to limit carbs. I had french fries today for the first time in about two weeks. But, mostly I'm eating whole wheat tortillas instead of bread for my 'sandwiches', as they taste better, and you get more for the nutritional consequences.
