Correct. The key I put in the cam was a straight key, with an offset key removed. CPL 160 calls for .035 timing. The straight key I put in, came from Cummins with the part number CPL 160 calls for.

I built a lot of 855 Cummins engines ove the yers both big and small cam.
I used to time the 160 CPL at .041" they pulled a bit better and less smoke at startup.BoxCarKidd and mile marker 27 Thank this. -
The pictures you posted do not show the correct position to measure the timing
