I'm looking to lease onto a carrier willing to pay at least $2.00 (all miles). The O/O model does not work for fleet owners like myself. The margins are not enough. Does anyone have leads/ideas/referral as to a carrier or company paying at least $2.00 per mile??? I have capacity to add 5-10 tractors, power only and drivers.

Get you own authority and stop paying someone else.

Landstar is limited since they cap the amount of tractors you can lease under them.

I've had my own authority but loads from the boards don't work either.

Not sure what they pay but I'm told if you have 6 or more tractors to sign on that WalMart will assign you a personal dispatcher.

    tractorfleet3 and landstar8891 Thank this.

Sometimes that takes a great deal of time, not as easy as it sounds.

And just what magical world would the company he lease on with, would they be simply "having" freight to move him for?

Pretty sure they're soliciting customers or getting it from load boards too.

    Cummins_444 and cominghomesc Thank this.
