    Hey everyone,
I got a small order (but important) of nursery stock in Boring Oregon were my shipper fell through on the sellers end..
This has never been a issue before and it is getting close to crunch time as this has always been organized/brokered in the fall.

Can any one help me with contacts or leads to were I can get my nursery stock close to Cleveland OH. or Erie PA.

    Thanks guys,
    NE nurseryman

I am not sure I follow; are you looking for a truck?

My order is small (10-14' of floor space) so a direct truck is out of the budget.
Any other broker I spoke with (2 from previous orders and 2 from other nurserymen) say that it is late to organize a small order as I have.
I am under the hopes there are other brokers I can contact or trucking I can organize this with.

I'm guessing nursery stock needs to go on a reefer which would make it pretty tough as an LTL load. They would have to find something to fill the rest of the trailer that needs the same temperature in order to cater to your needs. Chinatown is the local trucking company expert, he may know of a reefer outfit out west that can manage an LTL load but if I were you I would get ready to pony up and pay full truckload prices.

    NO REEFER UNIT NEEDED.
These are all liner (smaller) nursery stock. Basically small trees for growing on.
Same growing regions, standard shipping has always been in a regular box/enclosed trailer.

In that case it really shouldn't be a problem getting it moved. The only thing you mentioned that could be an issue is your budget. I'm not overly familiar with freight pricing out west but from what I understand it's not a real high paying area and you're looking for delivery in a pretty decent area so a lot of companies would probably be willing to jump on it for a low (yet reasonable) rate to get to a good area. Any of the nationwide LTL outfits could do it but on a 28' trailer that they use your order is now 1/2 a trailer load so it's not going to come real cheap.

    (Thank you guys!)
This is my 9-10 year bringing in a good part of my inventory from out there.
(Amazing how some take trucking for granted till they actually feel the impact or burden it can cause!)
I am not looking for a "cheaper mode" or trying to get a discount rate.
Just trying to do what has always been set up months in advance by others to now me in a week or two.
I have never once questioned the shipping costs. As lets be honest, trucking is not easy!

If any one knows any outfits out that way for me to contact please feel free to email/message me.
Or pointing me in a direction to start looking.
    Thanks again.

Have you thought about having it expedited?

I am open to any option.
(I learned a lesson by do this all these years and not knowing how to organize/execute the shipments myself.)
