Smart - Volvo Trucks @ 500K - need CAM

    FACT - Volvo D13 Trucks - @ 500K need new CAMS - they ware down i have seen
    this many times now and i see that this is a issue.

    After replacing my Cam and Rocker arm assembly my trucks runs like NEW.

    BUY IT BEFORE YOU NEED IT - ALSO GET REFURBISHED ROCKER ARM ASSEMBLY

    This will save you a Head Ache when Volvo tells you it will cost 10K to fix this issue.

    CAM - 1000 to 2000 and 300 to 1000+ for Rocker Arm assemble.

    Have 800,000 miles on a 2011 d13. Cams and rocker arms are fine. Have regular oil samples taken and analyzed. Maybe do that Instead. Then when you need it done get it done.

    it is a more common problem on these trucks but not as common as you think i've never had to replace one on any of mine they range from 400 K all the way up to 1mil never had any issues with cams that being said ive replaced a few of them for customers but thats usually due to really long oil intervals and they start wearing out it doesn't cost anywhere near 10K maybe thats what volvo charges but you shouldn't be any more than 4 to 5 on the top end.

    Many over 1M Mike's never touch cams or rockers.

    It is not a "FACT" per se if it's not a 100% accurate , factual statement.

    Maintenance , maintenance, maintenance.. Choose your oils and filters wisely, they can definitely effect your wear parts lifespan but is not a 100% guarantee in everything.
