Smith Transport (RS, PA) is now part of US Express

    Well the rumors have finally come to light... we (Smith Transport) are now part of US EXPress. How this will affect us we can only say time will tell... As for this driver,,, mixed feelings.. better loads? will this put us into US EXpress's freight lanes? We will stay in our own region as of the lastest Qualcomm msg.. :biggrin_2551:

    Afer talking with several usx drivers ,I think Like at arnold, they will eventually be usx red tractors. like you say time will tell.

    If you don't already you will probably be picking-up more at railyards. Several years ago I talked with a guy from Arnold who was mad that he was being treated more like a local driver than a OTR guy. I myself while working for USX was stuck in places like Pennsylvannia for a week just running loads from a rail yard on the outskirts of Harrisburg to either New York or Ohio.

    The railroad is big business for US Xpress
