Pulled the hose off the end of the pressure relief valve. It is clean. No evidence of coolant ever touching it.

Kevin...the shop foreman looked at my blowby and said it was nothing to be worried about. The dealership thinks my compressor has took a dump.

Can you replace the head gasket on the air compressor without taking the whole thing off the engine? Can the head gasket be worked while the compressor is still bolted on?

I replaced the air compressor last year, its not very expenssive about 1200$ for Volvo reman, and 3-4 hours of labor. Fixing the gasket only, you may save something in short term, but could require more hours than replacing the whole thing, it's still a worn out compressor.

Yea. Im gonna replace the whole compressor. Volvo wants $1650 for the compressor. I found one on Class8 truck parts website for $1100. Looks like the same thing.
