I've quit many things in my life and smoking was the hardest.

My dad is dieing from smoking. He has COPD, he has been in the hospital on the resperator about 6 times in the last 2 or 3 years. Every time he gets out of the hospital he doesn't smoke for a week or so but then starts back up eventually. He got out of the hospital again about 6 weeks ago. He was on the resperator for three weeks this time. He crashed twice when they tried to remove him. It was looking like he wasn't going to make it off of it this time.
If you have kids quit now and save them from having to make the decision to remove ya from a resperator when you are fully coherant but they can't get ya off the machine. Trust me, it's not a decision anyone should have to make. It's one thing to make that decision when someone in unconscouse or unresponsive but to make that decision when they are stiiting there staring you in the eye is more than anyone should have to do

That's why I quit smoking cigars. I used to go camping and set up the hammock with my folding table for my beer and puff away. My oldest basically called me a hypocrite for getting on my step-dad's cigarette smoking. I told her that I didn't inhale the cigar like you do when you smoke a cigarette. She told me "Daddy smoking is smoking and you're setting a bad example" That wisdom from when she was 9 or so. Needless to say, I quit.
