Hello! I finished my physical and drug screening last week and finally my my "Final Instructions" email from Schneider this morning. This coming Monday I'll be headed out to the greyhound bus stop with all my gear in hand, ready to start working. I just got out of the Marine Corps so I'm sure I'll pass the physical requirements just fine. The only thing I haven't done is drive a truck for the past 7 months. However, I'm sure I'll pick everything back up once I'm in the drivers seat. I've been running through all of my training materials again so it's all getting fresh in my mind. The only thing I'm missing is the hands on experience. As long as they have a little patience with me I'll do fine.

So wish me luck! It's exciting to start working again. I've only been out of the Corps for 2 weeks now, but it's frustrating to not have anything to do throughout the week.

On that note, I've got most of my stuff ready to go already, but I want to make sure I'm 100% prepared. Is there anything I can buy that'll help me out with my orientation process? I know the Packing List has a briefcase in there, but will a "Forms Holder" work? I believe I saw one at the local TA that I may pick up. With the calculator on those suffice or should I bring separate. If I need to bring a separate will a cell phone work?

Sorry for the multitude of questions, I want to bring enough - but not too much. Thanks!

Good luck! I had a chance to do 3/27 but I opted out for April 3rd. Still have a week plus to figure out what to bring with me. Are you doing teams by chance?

No - I'm doing solo. I plan on staying on the road as long as possible.. After 6 months is up I might even consider dragging the wife out there :p
