I'm not going to say that I've done it, but I would if I had to. If there's snow on my flatbed, I clear it off. I am careful and take my time and have yet to fall off or even come close. I have a ladder that folds out to 17'. Sometimes I have to climb on 14' loads. Combine these factors, and I would have a cleared roof.
But I actually care about how the snow on my trailer affects other drivers. I don't try to justify not clearing it off.Ruthless Thanks this. -
So you have no safe way to clear snow off a van. Gotcha.
roshea Thanks this. -
I guess if you're the type of person who also thinks motorcycles are unsafe, then sure. It's as safe as you want to make it. Take your time and don't work near the edge, and it is safe. If you want to try and clear it at 186mph on one foot while hanging on by your toes, then yeah, it's unsafe.
