So a newer truck paid off!! (For this year anyway)

    So last year was the first full year I’ve had my newer emissions truck. 2017 Cascadia with 440,000 miles now. I previously had a pre emissions Freightliner Century with a fresh rebuild with paperwork and new tires when I bought it.

    Amazingly enough, last year with my newer truck my repairs for the year were down $15,000!!!!! It literally made its payment for three fourths of the year.

    This does not include my fuel savings, just the repair cost. I probably made my truck payment for the year if I figured that in too. I know not everyone has that good of luck with newer trucks but I’m thankful for my Freightshaker.

    To be fair, I need to add I got the truck emissions system disabled about halfway through the year which drastically helped lower my repair costs.

    Good job.My company has a bunch of 2019 Cascadias.Not much problems with emissions.The trucks are cruising all day at 65,getting 5-6 mpg but getting passed by everyone.Not much city driving,high idle overnight at 800 or 900 rpm.
    I only had a belt tensioner wear out on mine,it let the rear belt walk forward then shredded it.Starter went out Friday night at a fuel station.The mechanic hit it with a hammer a few times,it cranked again,and I was able to get it started.Made it home.380,000 miles on it,they run them to 650,000 miles here,mostly highway miles,then sell them.
