A bit too quick for me.
I take at least a 12 hour break.

Should have plenty of time. Todays drivers work bankers hours. 9-5. Maybe 6-8, occasionally. Gone are the days off of running 35 -40 hrs. at a time. Thank God. Now you park by 6:00 pm. Watch TV or play video games. Plenty of time to sleep 6-8 hrs. Morning shower is nice. Get that aquatic energy. Just as nice to shower before sleeping on nice clean sheets. Splash your face, brush your teeth in the morning and roll. On days you load or deliver, you can decide whether to sleep at the customer, plan accordingly. Expect to wait for a shower sometimes, especially in the mornings. Probably have to skip it occasionally or be late for delivery. Best time is after 10:00 pm till around 5:00 am. You’ll learn to take care of yourself first. Skipping meals, bathroom, hygiene, only to arrive and wait hours to load, then having to run straight through to deliver on time, with no time to shower, gets old quick. Ulcers, hemorrhoids and jock itch are your reward. Dispatch will often push you only because they want you available ASAP for their own interests. Just in case something comes up. Any harassment just ask if they ate, showered, and slept at home last night. Don’t be bullied by someone who has no idea what you’re dealing with. All they know is what the computer screen shows them. They’ll definitely try to take advantage, especially when you’re new. Piece of cake, you’ll figure it out. Soon you’ll be “Livin the Life” Lol.

When you stop for the night you can fuel the truck so you a shower credit. The rest is up to you. You can shower before going to bed or get up and shower and use bathroom in the morning. You can even shower in afternoon or anytime you want just plan ahead a little so you get shower credits for free showers. It’s you job to get loads deliveries on time. I always like taking shower before bed. So in morning you can get up and get rolling as needed to make delivery

if you had to park overnight at customer then I would take shower in late afternoon before parking at customer.

Reminds me. Parking can be a problem sometimes. Reserve parking is an option. Setting it up ahead of time, especially if on a tight schedule. Some companies provide reserve parking as a perk. Beats wasting 2 hrs looking for a free spot at 2-3 different Truckstops.

That means trip planning, so you know where you will be stopping for the night.
I use reserved parking often. It is nice to know I have a spot waiting for me when I get there.
