why go with a big company, tat wont let you idle, or wont let you have a inverter.
#### i love my company for the apu, and inverter.
And i'm a name, not a #. -
Gotta agree with the Hoffaman, benefits are not real good (as in
they pretty much suck ). But, there are always trade-off's
between company's when you compare pro's and con's.
Also something else-- it says you live in L.A.--your truck
will be parked in Fontana for home time. gotta figure that drive time in to your decision. I spent 2 years at MAY and had few
complaints, once i got the greatest D/M.... -
Curious about this as well, these are two of the main companies I am considering as well.

Do you want a career with almost endless possibilities, all at the same company ?
Or just drag a reefer to grocery warehouses for the rest of your life ? -
well, at least one decision has been made for me. i've been denied at May. i was driving through hollywood to get to the 101 when i got the call. apparently i need work experience of any kind in the past 3 years. the last time i had a job was in '07. there could be other reasons, like my credit history (which is crap), but the reason given was my non-existent work history. oh well...i thanked them for taking the time to review my application and said goodbye. why burn any bridges?
there's still schneider. yesterday, i gave them authorization to, i guess, check my background. so i'm crossing my fingers on that.
by the way, i was driving to go to the TA in ontario. wanted to ask some of the staff some general questions. when you think about it...people (food service, stores, mechanics, etc) who work at the truck stops probably know a lot about the various companies. afterall, they're the ones serving drivers from all companies 24/7...i'm sure they heard and, most likely, seen it all. in the end, i didn't get far...traffic heading out of downtown l.a. sucked. maybe some of you might have better luck.Last edited: Mar 21, 2012
