I have that same problem with alarm clocks. :biggrin_25523:

Then there is the temptation to throw the thing against the wall when it goes off. :biggrin_2559::biggrin_25524:

So what's a morning routine like? If I'm the type of person who needs my coffee, am I better off having a coffee maker in the truck, or do most all T/S's have coffee available? (Either free or for purchase...)

You'd be better off making your own coffee in the truck. Nothing is free in a truckstop. You go in for a cup of coffee and come back out with magazines, a new mic, that little stove you been looking at that just went on sale, maybe a little chrome.....Aw $h1t you forgot the coffee. Yeah, make your own. It's way cheaper.

When I'm running solo I set an alarm but rarely sleep til it goes off. When I'm running team, which I mostly do, there is almost no need for it since you just have to yell at each other. It's weird though, I usually sleep longer when running team. He usually has to yell at me for quite awhile lately to wake me up.

Yeah and the truck stop coffee isnt very good. You would think they would have the best coffee, but usually its fairly awful. McDonalds has the best coffee, and theres one usually within walking distance of a truck stop. Or a coffee maker in the truck would be best, Im going to get one, I just keep forgetting. I really need one too, I usually avoid truck stops, I just take showers there and get fuel, but I dont like spending the night at crowded truck stops, they suck, some are good, most are not..

I use the app on my phone called alarmy..use about 3-6 math problems to answer before it will stop. Works great so far. Great app worth a try.

When I was rolling? I bought an alarm clock. But otherwise I usually woke up before it went off. So I didnt bother. Unless I was really groggy that evening before. Yet I only need 8 hours. So if I go to bed at the beginning of my 10, I am all set.

    Screaming minie.

CAUTION. This video lowest setting, it will be pain in your headsets if you have the right impedance etc.

I have burned out a number of these due to over excessive driving and the failed 16 to 22 hour sleep cycles to get rested. It will sit there and scream on a fireproof surface and burn out internally.

I cannot repeat enough to turn your volume down those of you who are not hearing impaired. This one is lowest setting and hurt my deaf ears. I require 80 db but this one is up there. At full roar all out...

What shall we do with the drunken sailor... early in the morning would be one tune that comes to mind before I curse it out. Then I can curse the dispatcher for a clock nazi, you moving yet messages by the dozen at 10:01 hours and 10, 12, 15, 20 etc second time stamps... I have quit on the spot those outfits. Three of them.

Another clock comes to mind. Old style wind up watch, brass fittings and so on. Plug that in and go to bed.

God himself had to use this style on the 7th day to be on time for worship. *GONG* Once I had windows open and the next truck over was sleeping. Heard "#### we got us a Japan here.." I yelled back good morning to you sir from Baltimore. And sorry for the wake up call."

I'm designing my Reefer Teddy Bear with a time limiter you can set. That way. When it quits making noise. You wake up.
