Depends on the company, customer, if trailers dedicated or not.
I always deadheaded back to the terminal after unloading and it paid the same. Was OTR which is what I prefer, but went home after every unload. East Coast to California, approx. 1 hr. unload, then deadhead back to East Coast for next load. Did that all over the West Coast, Western states, everywhere. I was lucky, not all companies do that. Some customers/chemical plants want exclusive use of the trailers and are willing to pay for that service.dennisroc Thanks this. -
