What? Are you insinuating that truckers just want to ##### and moan? Can't be true! Truckers never ##### and moan. They are some of the most satisfied people in the workforce! :biggrin_25523:

Im with the majority, the 30 min brk does suck.FMCSA don't have a clue if we're tired or not but they think they know so much. For me it's not so much the HOS as it is being government controlled. So much for freedom.Thats my beef all along is having the government controll America.

That makes no sense at all ,why would we ever be told we can't take a break?;but yeah I would not want that either.
If I need/want a break I want to take it when I want to or not, don't need some stupid rule for that.

Not me, I don't make those stops at all, I have a lunch box in the truck and eat/drink while I drive or while on duty staged to load or dump.
Time is money in my gig and they're wasting mine.

I think that the question should be asked at least 6 months after it went into effect. Asking about it a week after it went into effect is really not important.

The rule, and the entities that endorse and implement it, will still be asinine and idiotic six months from now. It's not the rule, or how it affects most drivers. It's the governments continuing attitude that they know best. Rules? Sure....there has to be rules.

But this one is infantile. First thing I thought of when I heard about it was pulling out the napping mats in elementary school in 1966 for that mandatory break.

I have been running under the rules for the break for about a year now.

I've been running with two breaks for the last five years and I understand why people get all bent about it, they just don't know how to play the logging game.

Hell, you wanna get technical about it...I've pretty much run this way since I started in '96. I almost always have a break in the middle of my day. Again, not the point. The point is government telling us we need to take a bwakey in the intwist of "safety".
