Logging a split sleeper berth takes care of some of those pesky 30-min breaks... :biggrin_255:

Haven't you heard? Fuel magically pumps itself in zero log time. :biggrin_25523:

Then, 30 minutes (rounded down from the real time it took to offload them brown snakes) after gettin' off the big road, yer good ta go, go, go!!! :biggrin_25520:

The guy who trained me told me to never log 11 hours straight driving time as the DOT hassled him over it once. This was in 2005 mind you (under the old rules). M eaning when I drove I always had at least a 15 minute break sometime during the day. So if I was still in this dreadful profession taking another 15 min during the day would not be a big deal. I'd be much more concerned with how they ruined the 34 hour restart.

The 30 minutes can't be broken into 2 15 minute breaks.

And we should all be careful when we log that 30 minute break.
Do it too early in a long shift and another 30 minute break might be required before you finish.

And as a few of our drivers on elogs are finding out, 28.5 minutes doesn't count either.
