    LoL

Oh my, that 30 minutes must be murder!

FYI, my employer has already scheduled a 30 minute break since the last 13 years I've been driving for them. Get over it, or find yourself another job.

And why is a 30 minute break so evil? Why must you think it's ok to be slave-driven to make a buck?

Maybe, just maybe, if a Driver was paid more and trained better, you wouldn't have to to regulate him so much. Too much turn over and poorly trained new drivers filling in = problems. Better pay and training = a lower turn over...

Why do you assume that everyone was being forced to not take breaks? All of our loads have always had an hour break built into them. We even get paid food money for every 5 hours we're out to pay for a meal you might eat on a break. Only a handful of our drivers took that break. Most would rather get the day over sooner and I'm one. I go to work to work, not sit around and twiddle my thumbs. My company has never forced that on me, it's my choice. I even worked one place that gave you a paid 30 minute lunch whether you took it or not and I never took it. Your assumption that everyone who doesn't take breaks are forced to not do so is misguided.

That being said, this new rule rarely ever affects me so it's not a big deal for me personally.

Why are you assuming that because someone does not want to take a 30 min. break they are slave driven?

You know the epa or treehuggers.org or peta or someone should get involved in this because i'm wasting a lot of paper on this break. As a matter of fact think of the resources being used to haul all that extra ink around to fill up the pens i'm using up.

I take all that back....... Logs to make paper and tankers to haul ink are pulled by trucks so i'm actually helping some truckers out. I feel a lot better now.
